The difference between both versions.
Windows Mugen
This is the standard version of Mugen which everyone uses.
Hires Windows Mugen*Hacked version of Win Mugen also known as Windows Mugen Plus. Hires Mugen allows for Hi-Res stages and regular stages in the same game. Hi-Res Mugen also allows for Hi-res characters and screenpacks. This version will require you to have a Hi- Res screenpack because the select screen is locked at 640x480 instead of 320x240. The starter screenpack is too plain and you'll want to do this anyways.
Here a description of each repertory:
- Chars = > Directory where are the characters that you will install
- Data = > Directory data where are configuration files of mugen
- Docs = > Directory where are various tutorials and faqs to help
you
to create characters and to help you to install mugen. These assistances
are in English.
- Font = > Directory where are .fnt files. These files act on the
graphic aspect of Mugen such as for example the type of writing.
- Sound = > Directory where are all the sounds and musics that you
will use for your game Mugen.
- Stages = > Directory where are all the stages
that you will install.
